Crash and Burn.

Literally.
Attempt one at a Paleo breakfast that included something other than eggs was a disaster. I scoured the internet for breakfast ideas, but it seems like no one is willing to offer recipes for anything. People post non-stop about how Paleo they are, but when it comes to sharing recipes for what they eat, it's some sort of secret. Can I please just have a recipe for something other than a frittata without having to buy your $60 cookbook? I managed to find a recipe for pancakes - almond butter, eggs, banana. Ok, simple, but I wanted to get fancy. I added protein powder as my "flour". Protein powder burns almost immediately, by the way... Buuut that didn't stop me from tasting them.. and almost finishing them.. then eating a ton of grapes dipped in almond butter. Damn it.

I've been strict Paleo (I don't count protein powder) for 2 whole days now. The longer I go, the more motivating it is. With each meal where I don't "cheat" and eat something non-paleo, the longer I feel that I can go. Maybe I'm just in the honeymoon stage, but maybe by the time it's over I'll be fully committed and won't want anything else, right?

Just follow this simple rule, and you'll do just fine

I barely sleep. I lie wide awake for hours while thoughts swirl through my head. It's usually nothing relevant, mostly things I want to do within the next few days, but it keeps me up. Maybe I'm just too bored to even go to sleep. Anyways, that's how this blog came to be. When even Bon Iver failed to put me to sleep, I decided that I'm going to compile my thoughts in the form of an irrelevant blog.

Why "How She Eats"?

Welp, I just decided that I'm going to go Primal. I've gotten rid of all of the processed foods, grains, and dairy products in an effort to follow a completely Paleo diet. I don't usually stick to things like this, so hopefully the blog will keep me honest and help me stick to it. It won't be updated everyday, a lot will be anecdotal, not life changing, and quite frank. I've have no idea where it will go, but this is a start.
